Ray is The Man! A Drummer's Drummer! 💥💥💥

2010 I met Ray in San Antonio, Tx. by pure luck. I was a cab driver and picked up at the airport. My passenger was a very attractive girl, probably mid to late 20's and she was a flight attendant still in her uniform. She said she I was taking her to The Quarry Amphitheatre because her boyfriend is in a band and he plays the drums. I said oh cool, I play drums too. Now I'm thinking local band, nothing special. So I asked her what the band was and she said her BF's name is Ray and the band is Korn. I just about ran off the road....I was like WHAT??? OMG!! She told me that he is paying the cab fare and I am taking her to his tour bus...and again, I freak out. OMG... She gets on her phone and actually calls him to say she's on the way and proceeds to tell him about her cool cab driver and she hands me her phone and said "Hear you talk to him, I am gunna change clothes real quick"...I didn't know what to think at this moment...I am talking to Ray Luzier of Korn on his GF's cell phone as she is changing...everything...in my cab! Holy Cow! (Yes I adjusted my rear view mirror. lol) We get to the tour buses and there was one for each member of the band. Ray walks up to us from the stage area and they hug and then...he shakes my hand and says " Hey man, nice to meet you. Thanks for getting her here safely." We talked for a few minutes and the rest of the band stepped out of there buses right there in front of me!! They went straight to the stage and Ray paid the cab fare and I asked him to sign the $5 bill he gave me for a tip. Ray said "No one has ever asked me to autograph a $5 bill before, this is a first!" He did it though and gave me the sticks in his back pocket! Super friendly guy and what a cool experience!

Sehr geile Doku.Viele Songs von Lindenberg finde ich unheimlich gut.Aber live ist das nichts für mich.Zuviele Statisten die da rumturnen . Zuviel Theater, das mich nur ganz persönlich nur von der wirklich guten Musik ablenkt. Aber das ist natürlich immer Geschmackssache und offensichtlich gefällt es den Fans

Great drummer. But he killed the special vibe they had. He overdoes everything and just doesn't have the Silveria street hiphop style.

So hard to focus on the actual video and what he's saying, I keep finding myself singing along to the songs in the background... Leprous is just too good!

As a huge Mars Volta fan, following them since At the Drive In days, the fact that Pridgen came in after Jon Theodore and noticeably elevated their sound ten fold with a distinct style..complimenting and sometimes overshadowing some of the best progressive musicians on offer says alot..He is an inspiration and an underrated monster on drums who should be in the same conversation as Buddy Rich, Peart and all of them

meinen ersten Groove hab ich mir von Bertram Engel abgeguckt, bei ner Lindenberg Show, die Ende der 70er im Fernsehen lief, 4mal haut er da drauf, 1mal da, gemerkt , ausprobiert, so hab ich spielen gelernt....da gab,s noch kein UA-cam.... :-)
